Weaving technique with off-cuts
The pieces are developed by working intuitively on the floor with the long fabric off-cut shapes that are leftover from the pattern-cutting process. It’s a fully fashioned technique, that starts with layering off-cut pieces on top of each other repetitively into a shape, appearing as a form of weaving. To secure the pattern, all overlaps are stitched to create an transparent look, leaving just the raw off-cut pieces for display. The off-cuts are placed in a composition that gives a flowing sequence pattern, with a feeling of every overlap creating connectedness and a tangled material.
