- Lyocell is een kunstmatig geproduceerde vezel gemaakt van natuurlijk geregenereerde cellulose.
- Het lyocellproces elimineert giftige chemicaliën en reacties en vermindert uitstoot in de lucht en het water.
- Lyocell wordt gemaakt van traceerbare houtpulp afkomstig van FSC-gecertificeerde bossen. De bossen zijn aangelegd op land dat ongeschikt is voor voedselgewassen of begrazing.
- Lyocell wordt gemaakt van eucalyptus- of bamboebomen die geen irrigatie of pesticiden nodig hebben en snel groeien.
- De productie van lyocellvezels is door het gesloten proces milieuvriendelijker dan katoen. Dit betekent dat tot 99% van het gebruikte water en de oplosmiddelen wordt hergebruikt.
- Voor de productie van lyocell is geen bleekmiddel nodig.
- Lyocellvezels zijn zowel droog als nat sterker dan viscose.
- Sea Cell is een vergelijkbare vezel die wordt gemaakt van zeewier en zeealgen met therapeutische eigenschappen.
Naturally dyed garments are sensitive to sun exposure and washing methods. To ensure colorfastness, do not dry or store in direct contact with the sun. Wash with a pH-neutral detergent in cool water. Natural dyes are sensitive to pH levels, so using a harsh detergent may affect the color. Hang dry.
Natural materials fade more than synthetics because the dye is added during dyeing.
To help preserve color on your item:
- Wash similar colors together
- Wash in cold water
- Turn clothes inside out to avoid friction
- Avoid overloading washing machine
- Use a short wash and gentle cycle
- Using liquid detergent is more favorable
