Denim

Our denim is made at a small factory in the North of Portugal that specializes in denim construction. The denim pants come in low-rise, mid-rise, and all the way to extra high-rise fits in a variety of washes and colors. The designs come in both straight leg and wide leg cuts. Most of our denim pants include both front and back pockets, pocket closures, and belt loops at the waistband. Some pieces have a drawstring closure instead. This collection also includes our denim jackets, shorts, skirts, and accessories in denim fabrics. We work across a wide weight range, from 215 gsm light denim to 458 gsm heavyweight fabric. Each weight is chosen for how it's meant to be worn. Heavier denim takes longer to break in, but the fit becomes your own through wear, whereas lighter weight denim drapes and moves on our body more.

There is a variety of weights and compositions in our denims, from 100% Organic cotton to recycled, regenerative cotton and silk blends. Using organic cotton is important for us as it supports good soil health and ecosystems. Organic farms also generally support more plant and animal species, supporting the biodiversity of farms. It relies on natural cycles and local conditions. For our recycled cotton denims, the color comes from discarded denim fabrics that have been recycled and don’t have to be dyed. Our silk denim is something we chose to experiment with as an alternative to cotton fiber. In the fabric, you can see slubs like in our wild silk. We have also introduced regenerative cotton in our denim, a great alternative to conventional or organic cotton with very similar qualities, offering a better option for soil health. The buttons on our denim are made of food waste like pasta or recycled cotton. In our jeans, you can find the Navalo, Tajo, and Indre in different seasonal compositions and colors of denim. To extend the lifecycle of your denim, you should wash them less – you can air them out and freeze them instead. Denim softens and relaxes with wear and tightens up after washes.
