Organic Cotton
About our Organic Cotton
Our organic cotton comes in many forms, as it is a versatile fiber that can be used for different purposes, from underwear to outerwear. Organic cotton poplin is one of our biggest groups, sometimes mixed with lyocell for an even silkier handfeel. Poplin is a classic fine shirting fabric known for its tight weave, giving the fabric its crispness. It is easy to iron and doesn't wrinkle easily. As it's cool and lightweight, it is a fabric we work with in tops, dresses and pants, especially in our spring and summer collections. Fine organic cotton rib has been a part of our collections since the beginning in the form of underwear like our Nida, Pam & Heart and tees, like the Omato, Pama & Vein. This fabric comes with and without elastane, depending on the use, making the fabric more form-fitting in some cases. Denims always come with organic cotton, the building block of all denim fabrics that gives the fabric its durability. We often mix it with recycled or regenerative cotton for different composition possibilities.
We also have an organic cotton knit fabric that you can find in sweaters and cardigans as an alternative for wool, as an option for warmer weather or for those that prefer the handfeel of cotton. Organic cotton fleece in our sweats ensures we have breathability and durability in the category. Our lace fabrics feature organic cotton in a blend, which has become harder to come by. We have also introduced organic cotton canvas, gabardine, and waxed cotton fabrics for our pants and outerwear collections that are sturdier and have more durability. Using organic cotton is important for us as it supports good soil health and ecosystems. Organic farms also generally support more plant and animal species, supporting the biodiversity of farms. It relies on natural cycles and local conditions.
