Autem Underwear

The Autem underwear started intuitively with fabric off-cuts leftover from our cutting process. Connecting uneven fabric shapes that fit into each other's shape in an attempt to create fully fashioned patterns. The process started by laying all the pieces out in an overview to begin the study and understanding how the parts could connect into a new piece by draping, gathering and layering, showing the beauty of the indefinable shapes. 

This led to the exploration of placements on the different variations of the off-cut shapes with the Mississippi bra and Bell pants. Autem styles share the story of the whole fabric roll.
