In our mending projects we extract concepts from repair studies, where the study of shape and fabric techniques takes space. We use those techniques in a smaller scale by mending, using stitches and patches of leftover material from our processes. 

Exploring the concept of mending not just as a repair process, but as a symbolic and tactile reflection of life's unpredictable stains and holes. Stains and holes appear on our clothes in an uncontrolled way, it is something we can’t plan for. The same uncontrolled feeling happens when you mend in a planned way on the front of a garment; the backside of the mend comes across more intuitive and unpredictable. This process and the marks on the backside of the garment share the story of how stains and holes come about in the first place; uncontrolled and unexpected.
