Natuurlijk geverfd met minerale kleurstoffen – door de aard van de verfmethode kan de kleur variëren
Minerale kleurstoffen zijn pigmenten uit de aarde en uit stenen zoals hematiet en malachiet. Ze zijn duurzaam en worden al duizenden jaren gebruikt in textiel. De tinten en gelijkmatigheid van minerale kleurstoffen kunnen variëren, omdat natuurlijke verf wordt beïnvloed door de omstandigheden van de bodem en het verfproces, zoals de pH-waarde en de hardheid van het water. Door de structuur van de vezels hechten natuurlijke kleurstoffen zich niet altijd gelijkmatig. Dit wordt voornamelijk beïnvloed door de dichtheid van het weefsel en het voorbehandelingsproces. Met natuurlijke kleurstoffen moeten we accepteren dat ze na verloop van tijd veranderen, zoals alle natuurlijke materialen. Kleuren kunnen vervagen en er kunnen onregelmatigheden ontstaan. Dit maakt deel uit van hun natuurlijke charme.

- Lyocell is a manmade fiber made of natural regenerated cellulose.
- The lyocell process eliminates toxic chemicals and reactions and reduces air and water emissions.
- Lyocell is made from traceable wood pulp harvested from FSC-certified farms. The farms have been established on land unsuitable for food crops or grazing.
- Lyocell is made of eucalyptus or bamboo trees that don’t require irrigation or pesticides and grow fast.
- Lyocell fiber production itself is more environmentally friendly than cotton due to its closed-loop process. This means that up to 99% of the water and solvents used are reused.
- Manufacturing lyocell does not require bleach.
- Lyocell fiber is stronger than viscose both when dry and wet.
- Sea cell is a similar fiber made from seaweed and sea algae with therapeutic qualities.
Naturally dyed garments are sensitive to sun exposure and washing methods. To ensure colorfastness, do not dry or store in direct contact with the sun. Wash with a pH-neutral detergent in cool water. Natural dyes are sensitive to pH levels, so using a harsh detergent may affect the color. Hang dry.
Natural materials fade more than synthetics because the dye is added during dyeing.

- Wash similar colors together
- Wash in cold water
- Turn clothes inside out to avoid friction
- Avoid overloading washing machine
- Use a short wash and gentle cycle
- Using liquid detergent is more favorable
