- Gerecycled katoen wordt gemaakt van textielafval van vóór de consumentenfase, zoals katoenresten, snijafval uit de productie of deadstock afkomstig van de productie van nieuw katoenen textiel.
- Gerecycled katoen wordt vaak gecombineerd met nieuw katoen om de kwaliteit van de uiteindelijke stof te verbeteren, omdat gerecycled katoen vaak een lagere garensterkte heeft.
- Voor de productie van gerecycled katoen zijn minder energie, kleurstoffen en water nodig dan voor nieuw katoen.
- Daarnaast vermindert het de hoeveelheid textiel die op de afvalberg terechtkomt en blijven materialen langer in omloop.
We recommend washing at a maximum 30°C and a gentle cycle, as heat and friction wear the fabric down. Underwear, bedding and towels can be washed at 40 or above. Use a laundry bag to protect delicates like underwear. The gentle cycle helps reduce creases and friction. Lightly pull/stretch the garment to straighten it before hanging it to dry.
Remove stains when you get them, as cotton absorbs stains more than synthetic fabrics. Avoid bleach, which can discolor the fabric. Avoid fabric softener, as it can coat the fibers, lessening the natural absorbency and breathability.
Hang dry to avoid creases.
