Core Collection
About our Core Collection
For our core collection, our hope is to create pieces that allow you to wear the clothing in a direction that feels right for you. We work with cuts chosen for ease and simplicity, elastic that allows for flexibility, and fibers that give warmth and softness, in recycled cashmere, linen, lyocell jersey, organic cotton, wild silk, regenerative and recycled fabrics. The collection is intended to work as the base layers of an ageless, seasonless wardrobe. Wrap styles in wild silk like the Otay, Apron and Mar are adjustable, with ties at the neck and waist, and the Dydine top and dress come with adjustable straps. The core collection grows into more pieces as we meet new people, methods, fibers, and dyes.
Working with touch, feelings and senses has been important to us since the beginning. They relate to how we cut our pieces, choose our fabrics, and use colour. The color palette of the core collection is named after words that relate to our senses: haptic, our lightest shade, is the sense of touch, in particular the perception and manipulation of objects using touch. Aural is the sense of hearing, ocular is for sight, tactile is for touch, and fovea is the point in the retina with the highest level of focal sharpness. Alongside these shades, the collection includes undyed, gray and black, as well as our leopard print jerseys and blue stripe cotton poplin.
